damaged trim panel

Hi while trying to get the leather pad off the central console by the gear stick, with some dificulty I marked the plastic. Has anyone any ideas on how I can make this look any better?

Does the pad not cover it? Its not in a position where anyone will see it so felt marker and refit the pad would be what I'd do

wrap the console in a high grade vinyl.

I would also think the pad covers it, if not black marker pen would probably mask it enough.

Those pads are bloody hard to remove, they must be an integral part of the structure considering how they are held on.

Im a very pick person I could of thrown the pad across the car park once I had removed it and, realised I'd damaged the pastic. Anyone in the future wanting to remove it go from the bottom. Far easier!
