Hi Guys,

Hit something in road (think it was edge of man a hole cover) and badly damaged edge of my 108 front nearside rim, not being knowledgable on the refurb front and what is possible / not possible I wonder if anyone can offer advice if this may be repairable or if it's a bin job. - the damage is just on the outer (by the looks of it)
The tyre obviously is a bin job (luckily both fronts are just on the limit so need replacing anyway)

Im up southport way (Ormskirk, Lancashire) so does anyone also know of any reputable refurb companies in the northwest as if it is repairable I need all the rims refurbing anyway

Thanks in advance

Probably somebody would repair, but there are enough 108's out there to pick up a used one.

Any ideas were to start looking?dud a brief search on eBay before bed, and not many seemed to come up, and most that did were close to BMW rrp.

Cheers Ste

100% replace.

Not worth trying to repair that. I have 6 108's sitting about, but I want four of them. I'm not sure what condition the other front drum is in, I fear it may have a snapped stud or two but I can look if you want? If not, go on the hunt for a single, I've found a few in my time.

Alternatively, you could take my drum with a couple of bolts missing and run that until you find a suitable spare? It has 20 bolts holding it together, so running 18 for a while would be quite fine.

Or, because I'm just so damn nice, here you go, in need of a refurb (which is perfect as someone can try and match yours):

That wheel is fucked, wot did u hit.....a planet :o
I would search flea bay first for a good nick odd wheel
Felt like I drove off a planet the bang it made, first thought I had ripped bumper off lol.
Raised grid iron did it, there was a cone just past so guess it was meant to be on.top of it!
Seems hard to find one on own at a decent price, though there is one linked above, I'm going to phone Mr Wilks later for his input as they all need refurbing anyway!

Thanks for that, was hoping for one in.better condition tbh, as I'm not up on refurbing I'm not sure if that one is a bit far gone, or if its ok??

+1 it's the damage you can't see that's the real issue between u & ur maker, especially as you're trusting your life to 4 bits of rubber attached to it.

This is the place u want to get another one refurbed http://www.lepsons.com

Not far gone at all. I'd happily buy and have that refurbed. Total cost you'd be looking at about £200 ish once you've had it split and refurbed.
