I work from home, but my daily is a 2019 Fiesta ST. Had it three years, goes back in a year or so. 1.5 eco boost, no wet belt in sight and an LSD on the front axle. Will happily step the rear out mid-corner with very small encouragement and is a great laugh. Really enjoyable throwing around North Wales visiting friends, but will happily return 50mpg on the motorway to Stansted too.
Affectionately nicknamed Puff, because the engine code is Dragon.

The family wagon is a 2012 Ford S-Max 2.0 Diesel, 160bhp. Comfortable, but I regret "upgrading" after the last one was written off to one with larger wheels & a sunroof. Doesn't shift down the road in the same way, feels way less sporty for a large car. Seats 7, commanding position to see the road and is pretty easy to drive.
Struggled to find a picture of it, funnily enough I don't take many of it. Thinking about replacing it with an estate if I'm honest.

4 1/2 months into BMW 330i ownership, I had a dawning realisation yesterday. However much I think it's a great car, it is just a car. It is for the times I need more than two seats, have to do a dump run, have to give her a run out because she's sat for a while... the E86 is infinitely more pleasurable to get in and drive, and is both my daily and my special occasion car.

Since getting the 330i I've been pretty much alternating which one I drive, in no small part due to the fact I often only drive once or twice a week and I don't want flat batteries and seized s**t.
That's changing, the Z4 is for driving, the 330i is for when I need it, or it needs a run! Elise / Exige are right up there with a 350C or a Sagaris as my realistic-ish dream cars... though I have to say I quite fancy a dip into the world of kit cars... why a wide body Westfield?

Westfields are much better value for money than Caterhams and most are better engineered than older Caterhams. They usually have independent rear suspension, whilst Caterhams used a live axle or Di Dion style setup all the way through production up to the CSR.
Westfields are available with a more interesting range of power plants too, including a Rover V8 or a Suzuki Hayabusa engine. The latter would be my choice if I were in the market for a replacement, although money no object, I’d have a Caterham 620R.

Still enjoying it, but what next
I’ve been enjoying my RS4 whilst back in England for a few weeks. It’s ridiculous how capable it is cross country on twisty B roads, whilst remaining a fairly understated and comfortable family car. The engine is a masterpiece, pulling hard from 2.5k rpm until it slams into the rev limiter at 8.5k, all the while snarling and barking through a GruppeM intake. Rev-matched downshifts are accompanied by pops and bangs on the overrun as well as the sound of my kids giggling in the back.
