Daft axle stand question....

My drive is on a gentle slope.

Can I use axle stands on it, or does it require a flat surface?

Thanks

I've used axle stands on my gently sloping drive, but only ever under one side or one axle with chocks under the wheels still on the ground. I wouldn't risk putting mine up on 4.

I'd be too scared to get it back down putting it on 4 !!

Was only going to be doing either 1 side or 1 end.

Driveway is gently sloping but can still defeat a Z handbrake

Just didn't fancy getting a jack etc to have to then do it on the main road.

Based on a forum search, will be ordering this http://www.sgs-engineering.com/hydraulic-jacks/axle-stands/tjl2c-jsr-2-ton-low-profile-trolley-jack-with-case-axle-stands

No real need for the case, but keeps it clean

Thanks for coming back, can proceed now.

I have those axle stands if you haven't already ordered i would get the rubber pads as well http://www.sgs-engineering.com/rpjsr-rubber-axle-stands-pad

The drive I sometimes borrow has a similar slope so I jack the car up with it chocked and with the trolley (also an SGS) as parallel to the car as possible. This means that the slack in the tyres, chocks and handbrake get taken up by the trolley rolling backwards a little. Then I put the first axle stand underneath - otherwise I end up with a slightly wonky axle stand, which is probably completely safe, it just makes me a bit nervous!
