DAB+

Hi. Just bought an E89 (2015) and want to upgrade the DAB to DAB+. I appreciate that I can use my phone for the same but often find that as soon as you go through trees, the radio goes quiet!

Looking online a part exists for this purpose - 65502310288. It appears that it is no longer available in the normal places. Does anyone have any ideas on where I can buy this part or does someone have one that they are willing to sell please?

I know they show up online at Synter but when you call them... they don't have the part and cant get it. After speaking to them and them confirming that no BMW dealership can get the part, that is when I came onto this forum. Thanks for responding though

Sytners are lying to you, you are not looking for a part!
This is from the parts catalogue...

Instalation information: 1. Replace CIC using same basic Procedure described in REP-65 83 020 (flat rate 10 units). 2. Order enable code using same basic Procedure from EPC and enter enable code. 3. Encode / flash code vehicle (flat rate Between 5 and 30 units according to Vehicle condition).

Firstly though, with yours being a 2015, are you sure it's not DAB+ already?

My 2013 28i has DAB+ and I can still get Classic FM after they switched.

I'm not with the car to check right now but it sounds like I'm being daft and DAB+ is in the car. As I couldn't get the station I wanted and I read somewhere online that BMW didn't install DAB+ until 2017, I jumped to the wrong conclusion. Thanks again.

What station are you missing, maybe it's a regional issue?
