Planned a last min trip with parents to Cyprus next week for 3 days. I've never been and don't know much about what to do etc. Flying into Larnaca and the weather looks lovely! Any recommendations from anyone who's been on things to do/places to eat/place to stay etc. Parents bit older so not as active as they used to be. Thanks!

Picked a nice destination to go to Rubes and I really like Cyprus as the weather has always been great and the people are friendly and the food is good to, I have been four times now protaras twice ayia napa once and pathos once, I am not much help to you though as I just go for the sun and relax mostly, have a great time though :D

I've heard Protaras is lovely..I've just now booked a beach hotel in Larnaca so we don't have to worry about a long transfer from airport as we land Tues evening. Not sure if its the ideal spot but for 3 days will chance it. Was pondering renting a car..they drive on the same side which is a bonus.

Yes hiring a car will give you options and it will be nice to have some flexibility, we went to Pathos last year as I had heard some good things about it but I much preferred Protaras in comparison.

Came back a week last Monday stopped in a villa in Kapparis which is a suburb of Paralamini which is about 4k from Protaris..didn't need a car as the bus service is really good

I wasn't keen on Protarus. I found it to be just a concrete purpose built resort, with nearly everything in the main street. Ayia Napa was nice but I was there off season so it wasn't busy. It gets busy late at night but the rest of the time was nice. My favourite is Paphos though. Loved it there.

I spent a couple of months there when I was in the Army (a few years ago). By far, the best place is Ayia Napa (if you want to party).

Thanks for the tips and pics  keep them coming.
I don't think partying is much on the agenda with parents in their 70s. Dad likes a tipple so might see if I can arrange a wine trip tour though (I won't be driving for that though :D )

I've only been once and can't remember where we stayed, but it was this time of year and it was HOT so get aircon!

Dad will probably go for cold beer I should think :)
