I met up with a mate of mine (the TT) and a mate from a Cypriot car forum (the S2000) and we went for a drive a few days ago. The route was from Paphos town to near Peyia (the road to Coral Bay if you're familiar with the area) and then turning right to take the road to Polis and Latchi. We drove all the way there making only one stop for petrol before the fun bits of the route. We arrived at around 19:00 in Latchi, drove to a cafe over there for a couple of frappes and some car chat. A couple of hours later we headed back and took the main Latchi/Polis - Paphos road which in itself is a lovely scenic road but unfortunately it comes with much more traffic, as was the case on that evening.. Now I know most of you will be unfamiliar with the names but this might be of help to anyone visiting the island in the future.

Anyway it's a brilliant route the Peyia - Latchi road with mostly medium-fast corners along with a dash of slow to medium ones. Great scenery, usually light traffic and mostly well surfaced. Returning from Latchi on the same road is even better as there is a lovely section of uphill slow-medium corners which just beg you take them in 2nd the car screaming to eight thousand RPM. Also if you do it in the afternoon there are amazing views of the sun setting in the sea as you're nearing Peyia. Excellent run overall and one of my favourites.

The route is this one right here: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=100393219526561396865.00048ea09a70d3dcdf795&ll=34.919156,32.393875&spn=0.373282,0.724411&t=h&z=11

OK, to the admittedly slightly too long video now! I would have even more footage along with pictures but my camera died a couple of kilometers before reaching Latchi... here you go, hope you enjoy.

Edit: added a bit more information

Camera is an old Panasonic FX07 point and shoot camera in its video mode. It shoots 848 x 480 or 640 x 480 video at 30fps. The mount, if you can call it that, is simply a piece of blu-tack. I put the camera behind the nav screen and as far front as it can go with its lens extended and then just wedge a piece of blu-tack betweeen the top of the camera and the windscreen. Video would be even jerkier but the camera has built in optical image stabilisation.

Thank you guys. :D

If anyone's planning on coming to Cyprus feel free to ask any questions you might have.
