Anyone into it?

Living in the lakes is pretty much the ultimate place to live for a biker, so I've just bought myself a new road bike and decided to become one of the lycra brigade :)

I am a keen trail biker but so far have resisted dressing up in lycra, too little protection from brambles and thorns.
Aren't the roads a bit busy up there for road biking? or is that just on a weekend ?
 
Haha aii thought i'll take the stick from purists about having a triple seen as its my first bike and i live in one of the hilliest places in the country 8)

As for the roads being busy, to be honest if you go on weekends and take the traditional well known roads then they're fairly busy, but living here means I can go any time, and also know plenty of hidden gems of roads and paths :)

Depends where you are and weekends are busy but its not too bad, through the week its spot on.

Ive got a Scott CR1 love it.

I thought I'd refrain from advising that your first upgrade ought to be a pair of clip less pedals. :rofl:

Already on it, those just came with the bike :)
 
MTBer since the early 90s. Mainly Affan in North Wales of late, but previously the Lakes, Peaks and more locally, trails in East Anglian places such as Thetford and Tunstall Forests.
 
By the way I'm riding the Ride London 100 mile event on August 10th to raise money for a local Hospice. :)
