Been out for a quick run, throw is shorter and nice and weighty. It's a proper piece of kit. Thank you for deciding to make some, I am more than happy with it. :D

Good I am pleased you like it.

Chuffed.
Works a treat and looks the shiz!
thx Ollie

Only minor minor gripe/suggestion would be to recess the grubscrews a tad. Countersunk hole and shorter screw to hide the slight protrusion of the grubscrews as you can feel/catch them sometimes.
Are the grubscrews an off the shelf item?
Worried that I may need to have some spares on hand if I ever lost one, some. What spec are they?
But it's a tiny gripe for what is otherwise an outstanding piece of work :)

The screw should cut in to the shaft as it is only aluminium, try giving it another half a turn.

They are M4x6mm I wanted M4x5mm but they didn't stock them.
If you can find M4x5mm pointed that would be better, I just went to my local fasteners.
The others were M4x4mm they were to small

Though about it or a aluminium h pattern gear boot.
But not for a while I have a few weddings and other engagements to attend.

Ever thought of making alloys?
Ha ha.
Would cost about £500 per wheel.

But my lathe and mill are big enough though.

I am skimming a colleague's breaks down to get a nice clean finish on them.

(To anyone that thinks this doesn't work, it does just need to take time in the set up)

"Nearly" received mine :D

I was really surprised by the weight !! much so heavier than BMW one's !!!!

The finish and quality are great Oliver !

Picked it up today. Love the weighty feel of it. Installed in no time at all. Will give it a thorough testing later on.

Thanks again Buckley, lovely bit of kit. Hopefully there'll be more bits to come ;)

Ollie, received mine today, quick tug on my old knob and fitted the "Buckley special" in a nik nak. Great bit of machining, precision fit and a perfect shape, so much better than the standard knob, makes it much slicker change on 1st and 2nd and just looks ace!
Many thanks Ollie, really glad your project got off the ground.......whats next! :D
