Hi all,
Over the last few months I was contemplating various exhaust options (well, there aren't that many actually!) and decided against the Eisenmann race, since I've heard it can drone a lot. Supersprint seemed very expensive for what you get too.
I tried to do a modification to the exhaust and had the baffles wrapped in stainless tape, but that was a disaster as the car was far, far too loud. The OEM exhaust was rattling and all in all, £300 down the toilet.
However, back in Zagreb I contacted a shop who specialise in making custom exhausts - they have a team of guys there and 4 ramps, with plenty of pipes and tips in the warehouse. They were pretty sure they could make me the perfect option, nice and deep sound and quiet on the motorway (above 2500 rpm-almost silent). I replaced the secondary cats with a resonator and opted for new back boxes and tips. Reason for the resonator in the mid section is stage 2 (coming in a few weeks) is an electronic valve which bypasses the primary backbox. A pipe will be welded before the silencer and this valve added with an electronic switch inside the car. The goal is to have a very nice and classy standard option, with very little overrun but a really distinctive straight 6, then for the valve to be opened (variable switch) to then offer a very loud/popping option (best of both worlds imho).
Seeing as the OEM is actually stainless and has a rear x-pipe, we decided to reuse as much as we could.
Part 1 done, opted for 100mm tips!
