curborough sprint 2011 im getting the keys ;-) Z4 Clubday

oh sounds like fun
southerner here up for it , only had my car two weeks and the weather is crap so hopefully by the time this comes around ill give a good account of my self.

Tried to organise this with the TT club but dates were the sticking point. Interested dependent on dates anyway.

Lol i knew ud be in andy ....... I alreasy had u as my first guest lol..... Im hoping for april time, i will be giving plenty of notice, i need to contact dave re booking me in and costs!!! I want to see non ms as well.....

Bedub - jI've been organising events for the Jeepclub for a decade all over Europe, so couple of comments:

Just pick a date and go with it. The more you post alternatives the more endless haggling of people who can and can't attend.
Avoid bank holidays and school hoidays as many people struggle to do those weekends (not me these days :) )
Make it expressly clear that this is not an organised event and get a disclaimer and registration signed by everyone who attends. Sorry to be a pain, but to ///M's point on the likes of PLI. If someone is stupid, hurts themselves or others, damages property, etc. then you can personally be sued for unlimited amounts.
Have a set of 'rules' that are known, as in the heat of the day people do some strange things.
Have a simple safety briefing.

This is not Silverstone and the same sort of precautions have protected a small group playing in the mud on hillsides for years.

Bit of care and it should be a great day with a group of friends just enjoying their cars

Count me in I'd love this. loosely thinking of supercharging march/april time so could be a good test.

the ess twin screw kits for your engine are awesome.......

guys, im glad were getting the kind of feedback i hoped for....im awaiting my email from the course secetary so will be back to you in due course, i will be aiming for a non bank holiday saturday during the nicer weather we usually get in the April-may ish times...... should be great fun, anyone that hasnt driven their cars on track prepare for the bug to bite hard.... curborough looks so so easy but in reality its a very challenging little track but is HUUGGEE fun, you will have a grin ear to ear.

the molehill is scary when you approach @ 60mph, braking hard on the off camber corners unsettles the car and is a really test of your car control.

why not approach it at 40 mph then lol

That precise questions goes hand in hand with why i've got an ///M and you have a 3.0si....... probably auto as well :poke: :poke:

Count me in if the date fits with the diary. Just up the road. For those not local there is a go-kart track just next door which might be fun to add to the day.

Interested :) Date dependant etc. I'll keep an eye on this thread.
