Curb damage - underside 'box' in front of rear mud guard (N/S)

Hi, hoping someone can tell me what this is - somehow managed to knock it clean off (making quite a sound) from the underside of the car when entering a very tight multi-storey car park this morning. I didn't give enough turning circle to clear a concrete corner curb - it wasn't very high and seems like the side skirt cleared it ok (thankfully doesn't seem like any damage to it as that's what I thought the noise was at first) but it directly caught this 'box' that was slightly in front of the near-side rear mud guard.

Due a service soon so I can take this along to the garage to see if it can fixed/replaced but I wanted to ask what it is and double check that's it's not vitally important for some reason and that I'll be ok driving the car (daily) for the next couple of weeks until it gets seen to? Thanks in advance for any info or advice

It’s the jacking point. Not needed for day to day driving. Never seen anyone dislodge one. Didn’t even know they were removable!

Thank you for confirming - such a relief after the shock of the noise that no real damage was done then. I'll ask the garage about replacing in a few weeks and will take extra care navigating this car park!

It looks like it just clips into place, except your clips have snapped off!

You could probably fit one yourself and save a few quid for petrol.
