Been to stealers today to order retro fit cup holders for //MR and been told only available in grey finish, anyone know different. I can't believe they fitted them like this in cars with black dash, they've gotta be pulling the wool over my eyes

There is a black pair on ebay.

ive got black cupholders too, they are s**t mind,

yet to find a "cup" that actually fits right in them, too shallow!!

works fine with cans of coke, dr pepper, red bull
Also fine with McDonalds cups (sm,med & large)
Holds "petrolstation" thermos mugs well too

you do know you put the cup in, then sqeeze the arms in till they grip right? :P

Mine are black and purchased as retrofit. Can't imagine they have discontineud

As for not fitting cups - cr*p as sk93 says they just need adjusting. I simply open the holder click the jaw 1 or 2 clicts and any coffee cup fits perfectly.

Managed to cover a bit of the Lakes run with a nice Latte in situ :)

loving how all my beverages are all "bad for you" drinks.. and CJ comes in with the more refined latte.
just need aebous to state we was driving around with a shot of canadian black on that trip to cover all bases ;)

Mine are also black - factory fitted.

They work well(ish) after i realised they can be clicked closed

Dont work well with tall bottles of water.. and have to remember not to knock them when entering/ exiting the car if drinks are still left in them.

god that's annoying. the amount of cocacola I've spilt, and the amount of times I've hurt my knee - I've truely lost count!

Yeh i know you click click clikc

I like them to be snug, i know the McD's large ones fit, but things like a coke bottle stay in but not snug and im paranoid about getting drink all over my interior !

For coke bottles i usually put the bottle in place, then adjust the cup holder. After that I take the bottle out, and make the cup holder one click smaller. That makes the bottle sit nice and snug. :D

They are rubbish! Mine keeps on unclicking when I drive a tad enthusiastically. Often with a bit of a bang that really scares me - everytime I think my rear springs must have gone or hit by a massive stone chip!

lol really?

I guess I'm one of the lucky few who have zero issue with them?

I used to have black cupholders, until i pushed the drivers side one a little too enthusiastically to open it. Now its sitting completely uselessly inside my dashboard! :headbang:
