Cup Holders

Hi all,

I'm think of fitting cupholders. I only really drink water so I should be ok, but can you put a protein shake in them?

Also can you use them to hold your phone?

My cup holders are both screwed, I am normally an OEM only man but the price is insane for what is essentially a weak piece of plastic mechanism... So those amazon parts look to be an attractive alternative. Can anyone here comment on the quality of those after fitting? Aka do they look non-genuine or is it really hard to tell?

Also changing them I presume is a matter of unscrewing the 1 screw that is visible when it opens?

I have the originals that I got from a breakers yard and don't find them that great to be honest. I often forget its open and smash it with my knee getting out the car.

I have an aftermarket set in mine, they look fine. I rarely use them but when I have they seem sturdy enough and grip the cup well.

I ended up buying OEM and have been happy with them for now. They hold things as good as they can, given their flimsy design, so far no accidents with large starbucks or coffee cups lol.
