Cup holder

I've had a couple of long journeys recently, and really dislike the cup holder placement (under the centre armrest). I miss the ones I had in the E85!

Has anyone discovered a decent after-market option? I've seen a few you clip-on to the air vents but I'm a little dubious.

I think BMW do an after market one that fixes to the transition tunnel somehow. It's in there optional extra brochure I think

I've read other forum members posts about ultimate cupholders. Made in the USA, they fit under the central console. I've made contact with them, but at the moment they are only suitable for e85s. He may be designing some for e89s this autumn and has promised to let me know. Viv

Ooh let us know if they do an E89 version. Not so great at juggling my Costa twisting my hand through 180 degrees to reach the holder at 30mph
