Cup Holder or £1 Coin Holder?!

Now, I know the majority of you lot seem to love the Z4 cup holders so look away now if you feel you may be offended by the destruction of one that 'was' in perfect working condition.

Personally, I do not allow food or drinks in the car so have no use for a cup holder. Z4's are for driving not picnics :lol: (although Mrs Sausage is allowed a bottle of water on special occasions)

I like to keep a couple of quid in the car (hidden) for tunnels, car parks, etc and as there's nowhere else to store them they end up rattling about in the ashtray. Very annoying.

So with both these things in mind I turned the redundant cup holder into a £1 coin holder! They're hidden away, don't rattle, and now I can use the ashtray too so might start smoking :D

It needs a bit of tidying up and is not completely finished yet but perfectly useable as is.

I quite like it, but let me get this right, you allow no food or drinks in your car but you'd be prepared to smoke in it? :D
 
I Love the Zed, but I don't think I have ever made a journey without my money ending up on the seat! Mint idea :thumbsup: My cup holders can't hold any of the drinks I have and I would love one of these for everything that requires the £1!

How to? :thumbsup:

+1 - if coins rattle in the ashtray, why not make up a foam insert for the ashtray with slots cut for £1 & £2 coins...?

Great idea. I'm tempted to get after market cup holders just to do that.

(Does R3AP4R perform handstands in his Roadster, or does that take us down a path we've already recently visited? :D )

You need some space between the coins to be able to get them out easily. I found the ashtray area too small.

It would work the same but you won't fit many coins in there. :roll:
 
Like it!

Really should remove my shrapnel from the centre tray before some scroat tries to break in for it.
 
i use under the seat RHS in the back corner to store my change.... or as i refer to it ... the emergency tunnel money for those moments when you get there and find it wont take your cash :D

Alright, alright, gimme a chance!! I had to do a 12hour shift today!! :(

Ill write something up and post it over the weekend.. So impatient these BMW owners. :roll: :lol:
