'Owzabout that then! 'Ere, Sir Charles of Charleston sir, that'll be 20 quid from you and can you tell that big-toothed, bastid Andrew that he still owes me a tenner, for that thing in that place that time with those young ladies? Ta'

The BBC used to be the only place to go to if you wanted neutral unbiased news but nowadays they are more interested in making the news than reporting it with that nasty rottweiler Laura Kuenssberg the worst of the lot.

In the early days of the coronavirus Boris and his medical sidekicks gave a nightly update on the state of the virus then took questions from the media. Despite having both a health editor and medical editor the BBC sent their political editor (Kuenssberg) to put the boot in to provide a juicy anti Boris segment for the 10pm news slot.

Likewise Cummingsgate would have blown over in a day or two if it weren't for the BBC and Kuenssberg in particular who insisted in keeping it in the public eye saying that the public were outraged which I suppose was true by the time by the time the rottweiler had wound everyone up to fever pitch.

At least Kuenssberg can speak proper English unlike the Beeb's latest poster girl Alex Scott who seems to pop up everywhere forcing me to reach for the channel change button every time - but that's another story

So Kate Josephs, head of Sheffield city council has also had a drinks party for a colleague during lockdown. Where is the front page of the BBC asking starmer what he's going to do about it...? Nowhere obvs as he's a leftie. Instead they put a piece about a crocodile skeleton found under a school.

Utter shitehawks.

So seems like some of you on here will be rejoicing at the decision by the Government to stop funding the BBC in 2027, a very sad and bad day indeed.

Oh dear, then you'll just have to watch Songs Of Praise, Antiques Roadshow, et al with commercial breaks now. What a tragedy of epic, epic proportions. And how on earth will Ms. Bruce ever be able to fund her cheeky Charlie habit?!?!?

There's never anything worth watching on the BBC these days anyways, what I consider their glory days in the 70/80s are long gone

I'm guessing that your post was tongue in cheek but with the exception of sports I don't watch anything live preferring to record programmes to watch later so that I can fast forward over adverts

I could never understand how anyone could sit through advertisements! What an absolute waste of time.
I actually chose to cancel my TV contract years ago, both here in NL and in the UK. One of the best decisions I ever made.
TV is just utter sh!te these days including the sports I used to love watching. F1 is just a boring endless procession with the prospect of winning based on decisions about when to pit, technical aspects of the car or bizarre regulation/political decisions rather than any degree of driver aptitude and skill. Cycling is and continues to be tainted by doping scandals. Christ, I bet competitive tiddlywinks is even bent somehow!

Some organisation will always have an influence over what is broadcast into our homes be it the BBC / Commercial / YouTube / Booblehated crackpots.

Thank goodness for the OFF button

Brought it on themselves 100%, they're supposed to be impartial which they stopped being long ago, they knew about Saville and did nothing, they're leftie PC supporting despite all that, it stinks. They grossly overpay staff, Lineker, that prat Vine, Steve Wright who has a holiday every 3 wks, the list is long and sad. They can carry on if they wish only we won't be paying for them, which personally I'm delighted about. Sad they've got away with it for so long. They stopped being an organisation the public could trust or take any correct influence from decades ago.

[ref]john-e89[/ref], I’m not saying the BBC is perfect and their task of being impartial to any political ideology is practically impossible, but you’ll only really see the benefit of something when it’s gone.

Can't help agreeing unfortunately. Still love Ken Bruce, though.
