HELP - in MS Outlook 2013 > Tasks, happened to hit Ctrl + C and it deleted the current task - WTF?

For the uninitiated, Ctrl + C is left over from Bill Gates' DOS keyboard 'copy' function days... works just about most places but as you can see, deleted my item... any ideas why?
 
With Office 2013> Tasks > it is Control +D that deletes the current selected item Task.

Are you sure you didn't accidently hit the D key?

Control + C has no function under Tasks in Outlook 2013

Am familiar with Ctrl + d and didn't do that - this has happened a couple of times now... if one of you could try replicating this... Set up & save a task... Do something else then highlight, enter the record, then hit Ctrl + c & tell me if your record also deletes.

Tried it on mine as you have detailed, and nothing happens when I try Control + C. However if I try Control + D the task is deleted.
 
Cheers Swifty.... have rechecked, ctrl+c killed a task - looks like I have a unique bug

Strange one, I assume you have checked and installed all available Office updates?
 
Are you certain that some cretin hasn't swapped the C and D keys around on your keyboard?

Have you seen his fingers? Press the C and it covers the D as well :D
