To be honest I am always a little wary of eBay adds like that... If they were genuine you would put a lot more detail up... If they are genuine and just a bad write up could land a bargain, even with a refurb cost!!

Ooooh shiny moment Stu? :D

Not unless there's a bargain out there. I have to pay Luke for the hardtop, get a bag for it, pay for the aero skirts to get painted etc.

I think I need to get a grip :)

In for a penny and all that :D

I messages him asking for more pictures and he said I 'could come and view them if I like'. A couple more pictures have been added but of different wheels it would appear...

Second picture clearly shows BMW between ///M badge and centre but this disappears on the third picture with all wheels lined up...

Odd... :?

Anybody looking to sell anything for ~£1200 with a one line description and a few crappy photos is either

A) Lazy
B) not to be trusted.

Hopefully he is just 'A', but I think that if anything smells fishy about a CSL advert it's best to steer well clear.

I'm probably paranoid, but the picture of the BMW looks like it's stamped into the wheel and not raised. Also no picture of the rear as asked :?

No way I would spend a penny on some dodgy wheels like that, and it needs refurbs anywhere ...

I think you're right Stuart :?

Well he has posted more pictures now. I wonder it it's a trick of the camera regarding the BMW markings. Does look like a stamp though.

That's definitely a stamp. The rear marking are raised - look like reps that have been 'adjusted' to try and tick all the boxes

And as pointed out, they are in terrible condition... Run away from these methinks.

pretty certain those are genuine :-0 albeit in s**t condition....

i think with a refurb, a thorough check for cracks!! these could be a good buy... ;-)

No bids so far. Even £600 in sh1t condition is a bit much, you'll need to add another £350 to get them properly refurbed exluding cracks and buckles.

It will be interesting to see what they go for, but I'm still not convinced they are genuine. You need to see the inside of the wheel at the centre to check the boss to see if they are genuine along with the BMW mark which on these look like a stamp.

I've sent a request asking to verify of the BMW is moulded (raised) or stamped. Also to show the rims clearly and the inner of the wheels. Let's see if he responds. There's a damaged genuine set on eBay for £1350!
