CSL's on ebay

There was a set on PH recently for £1700 with new tyres all round and there is another set up for £1250 atm (I haven't checked if they are genuine).

I thought the wheels were available for around £1600 new with no tyres so considering these tyres are low isn't it better to buy new?

I missed out on a set of CS wheels a month ago for £900 :(
 
Once they go over a grand you may as well buy a brand new set from Simpsons for £1,600. The tyres on these are virtually worn out anyway so you'll need new rubber all round.
 
Ouch and Ouch..
These, can make for a tad expensive set of rims and (potentially) new tyres too..

Wow what have I done, I come back and there is 3 pages worth! I am still looking for a good set of MV2's so I have been patrolling ebay a lot lately. There is a nice set, but they are black and I don't know what they will look like on my titanium silver coupe... Plus they have a reputation as being chavvy.....I really like them though :wub:

Is it worthwhile report these items that claim to be genuine? I mean if "wheeldoctor" was charging £600 for the set and claiming them to be reps then fine. But over-charging and fraudulently listing the item as genuine is out of order imo.
 
I just have, I'm sure I've seen them listing them before as genuine. :fuelfire:
Easy profit if you get a buyer that doesn't know better.

I've sent him an email in the past asking for verification and photos of the rear stamps but nothing was forthcoming, as Herminator says its easy profit for someone who takes his word for it :thumbsdown:
 
I also contacted him a while back saying they didn't look genuine. He messages back saying they were and that I could call for verification... Left it at that and just reported it to eBay as they definitely aren't genuine, if they were someone would have bought them 100 times over...

I've just reported them as well. Too many people would get caught out by these and as he's saying the list price is £3K he's clearly trying to pass them off as real.
 
Maybe he thinks they are real. Seems a shitty thing to do if he does know. Or perhaps someone had fooled him and the wheels owe him a lot of money. Either way I'm not a big fan.
 
The genuine ones that started this thread have changed on eBay. They were at 1015 and now this...

The Wheel doctor must have a few adverts on eBay, I've just done a search and one advert still says Genuine :thumbsdown:

I got that it's ended, but the bidding was at £1015 and no buy it now. As i was watching i'd expected to see a "don't lose these" mail from ebay as usual. Then it dropped to no bids and a buy it now. What happened? I thought there was going to be a bidding war on them :?
