CSL's + B12s Will a 235/40/19s rub?

Hi 99ron,

I fitted the b12's and absolutely hated the ride, was way too harsh. I have just fitted OEM front strings and kept the rest of the b12 kit including the rear springs and I am super happy. The car feels firmer than I remember than stock but now the car can handle the UK roads without crashing and banging violently. I can't tell you how happy I am now with the car, just need to get the alignment checked.

A big thanks to Jembo who suggested this solution.

FYI - B12s without the Eibachs are just B6s. For those looking to do suspension upgrades in the future, you can just go B6 with your OE springs without going through these headaches.

Nope b12s comprise eibach springs and b8 dampers. The damper specs are the same between b6 and b8 but b8 are designed for lowering springs, b6 are designed for oe springs.
That is the case for the regular platform but there is no b8 damper for the m, so the b12 is b6 + eibach as xmetal says.
Fwiw for a road car on uk roads I'd retain the oe springs in the hope it had better manners than the b12 kit I had for a while. Owners in 1st world countries may well have different opinions.

Well blow me down I just checked and you're spot on! Should have known really seeing as you actually had the b12 kit on your mc back in the day, but I could've sworn they did b8 for the M! Learn something new every day
