CSL / ZCP and Replica advice

Ok, so I'm looking for some of the above wheels.
1.Whats the difference between ZCP and CSL alloys?
2. Are replica alloys all rubbish? Any advice on good 1s welcome
3. Will they fit with no issues to a MR? I assume so..

There are purists out there, but I bought a set of replica CSLs from BM Autosport a few months back. Very happy with them.

imo as you have an M you can get genuines which fit perfectly.. the same cannot be set with a non m offset (hence only replicas will have the right offset)

replicas can be very good.. but may weight more..
 
I have some BBS LM replicas which I have had a year now with no issues with quality.

before I put them on the car I weighed them against my original 108 style wheels and they weighed the same, in fact the fronts weighed slightly less. you just need to be careful where you get them from. As said above, BM Autosport seem to have good products and plenty to choose from.

For reference my BM Autosport 18's weighed in at 11.6kg and 11.2kg, similar to an original 18" BMW wheels apparently. Of course if you go for original CSLs they are 19's.
 
i'll be putting some csl reps on my z within the next couple of days so will post pics once done..... i'm going for 19's
 
My 19" VMR 710 with tyres weight in at 21KG!!! Which was heavier then my 108's... admitedly they are bigger but the extra weight (of my truck wheels as my friends refer to them as!) has made a noticeable different to the acceleration and braking of my car :(
 
18's or 19's Bunnyjoyrider, iMO it's all down to personal preference and the aesthetic balance with the rest of the car. It was the choice between CSL style or Velocity's V710's that was the most difficult decision for me.

Envy, let me kno how u get on with yours. If your happy and some info on supplier, cost n stuff..

Def going to 19"s, going to look for a high quality rep I think.

i got my csl reps from mstyle and couldn't be happier with them.they have the correct offsets 44 and 27.there are people who will turn thier noses up at putting csl reps on a z4m but the car isn't a m3 csl and imho theres no point being all worried about not having oem csl's on a non csl car after all its only the look you want on your car and not the premium of real csl's. :o

update: went to my alloy wheel place today (speedy tyres, derby) and they could only get the csl replicas in black with red lip for 400 or all silver for 450. they had neither in stock though. they said they could also get bbs style 19's in silver for 450 now.... all styles are staggered fitment, wheels only. i'm a little torn as to which to go for now so mulling it over

Are the bbs the 1s with the deep rim?
I've seen nice pics of cls reps bought from pristine wheels in Birmingham there is a thread about with pics and they look fantastic. 19" with tires £900 ish

Ok jokes about deep rim :oops:
