CSL Wheels - Price?

Just bought a set of genuine CSL wheels (mint condition) with good tyres - definitely genuine - for £1500.

I think this was a good price for genuine wheels including the tyres - am I right?

Well, you're only getting two good tyres, as the fronts are shot (according to the ad), so add in the £400 for another 2 front tyres and you're at £1900.

Still doesn't seem too bad a price to me - if they're genuinely genuine :P

Look for the cut outs in the back of the hub none genuine ones seem to be flat.

I have geniune wheels i kept the receipt to avoid this confusion later on maybe the seller has kept his

He says they are actually legal on the phone, 4mm ish of tread, and is delivering them to me for free :D
Wouldn't have said they needed changing then. If it was 2mm then okay, but 4mm is fine.

My insurance change is nil for changes like this.

I changed the exhaust on my 360 and equally no premium change. It all goes on value of the car.

...I'm with Locktons by the way - make sure you insure with a specialist rather than the High St and you're fine.

Hi just found this thread as looking for a set of csl wheels and noticed that the same set are back on eBay. Just wondering why op did not go ahead which purchase as I am interested in buying them. Thanks

Biggest give away is how the back side of the wheel looks.

Well, I picked up the CSL alloys yesterday and they were in mint condition and the Goodyear Assys still have a lot of life left in them too (same eBay set as OP).

Car looks the nutz now :D

Only the front OS tyre has worn on outer edge, so I'm tempted to replace, but might do a track day at Brands before I do.

So now have a set of OEM Z4M 18's for sale if anyone wants them :)
