CSL Wheel/suspension setup

Hi, I recently brought a E86 coupe. It’s lowered 30mm on the eibach lowering springs and is running 19inch CSL style wheels, the tyre profile is 35 on front and 30 on the rear. It tramlines a fair bit and was thinking of putting a slightly thicker tyre all round and maybe OEM springs... is anyone running 19” wheels with 35 profile tyre on rear and 40 on front??, unsure if
It would rub arches etc.
Cheers

I’m running 245/35/19 and 265/35/19, slightly lowered on CSLs. Tried 235/40/19 fronts and they rubbed the liner in three places (front brake duct, outer rim and rear middle arch).

Very happy with them. A decent improvement in ride from 30-profile rears and they look ok.

Don’t forget you will need to take the offset into account, what’s the et numbers for the fronts and rears?

If it’s any help my atomic csl rears are very snug on eibachs. I have 255/30/19 Vredstein ultrac vorti’s on the rears (9.5 wide et33) and get the tiniest scrape in the arch liner when throwing it into a corner with a new tyre. I know I couldn’t get a 35 in there :(

Great thanks, how much is it lowered by?

5mm rear, 10mm front compared to stock M suspension. I’m not sure how that compares to non-M stock height. Probably quite close to where you are on Eibachs.

As above, offsets will be a factor but again, there is a difference between M and non-M to be wary of.
