CSL rims on a Z4

Z4-CSL

Member
Hi all,
same old question i know but can anyone give me the reason why the CSL wheels don't fit a non-M Z4 please??
Feel free to shoot me down with the big stupid gun...
Cheers!

Z4-CSL, welcome to the forum...
They don't fit because of the offset difference between an M-Z4 and the regular Z4.

Ok, so the wheel would basically stick out-board too far right?

Damn it i was really looking forward to getting my hands on them...

Back to the drawing (dreaming?) board!

Thanks for the help WLH

I have heard bad things about modbargins.com

If I'd gone the replica route, I'd have gone with European Auto Source (http://www.europeanautosource.com).

That's why they make replicas. :)

any reliable source to get good quality CSL replicas?

Try this site out... http://www.modbargains.com/

Wouldn't bother with modbargains, unless you feel like dealing with bad customer service and a childish college kid that owns the business.

epbrown, do you have any threads where people have had real experience with the EAS replicas? this is the first time ive heard of them

EAS sells the Velocity Motoring replicas - exactly the same ones modbargains sells.

Exactly, and EAS seems to have a solid reputation. I actually had the wheels in my shopping cart and my credit card out a couple of times on the EAS site, before I changed my mind and ordered the real thing (which should be here tomorrow, btw, according to Fedex).

As far as ModBargains, I've never dealt with them, but what I've seen on several BMW forums is that when a problem arises the staff works out a completely sensible and acceptable solution, then the owner steps in and things go to hell and they lose a customer and some credibility.
