CSL reps - what tyre and wheels size

Hi guys,

I am shortly due to pick up a Z4 coupe and want to get a set of CSL style wheels on her ASAP. Been done to death I know, but it still looks fantastic.

I am after a set of 19"s and was going to order from BM Autosport.

Just trying to figure out what size to go for.

Does anyone know what wheel and tyre size combo I should go so as not to drastically alter the handling characteristics of the car from OEM?

I would assume this is the combo I want?

225/35/19 front with 235/35/19 rears

Or do I need to go with 255/35/19 rears?

Amy help you could provide would be appreciated.

I actually went for 225/35/19 fronts and 265/30/19 on the rear. This keeps the rolling circumference within 4mm front and rear which is the same margin as the tyres fitted on the oem 108s for example.

I don't mean to hijack this thread but I have a similar question. I currently have 108s but I am considering switching to a set of 19" CS Y wheels.

The new fronts are 8.5 et38 and the rears are 9.5 et45 - I've used the offset calculator and it suggests the wheels will stick out and extra 13mm at the front and and extra 18mm at the rear.

I'm just wondering how this compares to others who have moved to CSL style 19"s (i.e. the difference in edge of the rim position)? 13-18mm doesn't sound like much but the last thing I want is for the wheels to be sticking out too much.

Any photos of your car with offset details would be appreciated :D

p.s. new tyres will be 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 on the rear.

GJC72 - That looks very nice indeed, thanks.

So I probably don't need to worry as yours looks fine and my rears will be 7mm further inside the arch anyway (et45). Unless I've missed something...

Is yours lowered at all? Any binding issues?

It's not lowered, just on standard sport suspension. I get slight rubbing on the front under full compression. Will probably go for 225 tyres on the front when I change them. Never had any issues on the rear

GJC72 - Cheers again, looks spot on sir.

Z4M-2006 Another fine example :) Out of interest, what size are your rear wheels (9.5J)? Cheers

They are deeper on the rear. Think it's the angle the pics have been taken that makes them look the same.
