CSL Replicas

Anybody had direct experience with replica CSL's from BMAutosport? Seen these I quite like but know there are two very definite camps of choice when it comes to reps. Some people would never, others would - so it would be great if anybody out there has had direct experience of these.

Inkey - never had experience of BM Autosport but there are others on the Forum who speak well of them. As for replicas v originals it's a matter of personal choice. Perhaps it's the quality and construction of the wheel that is the real issue and you get what you pay for.
 
Inkey - my last set were purchased from BMAutosport. While I can't comment in the CSL reps, I can say that the company are a top company to purchase from and come highly recommended. I couldn't imagine them selling a poor quality set of rims.
 
For what it's worth the offsets on those wheels are spot on in respect of the fact they will place the wheels front and rear 13mm (half an inch) outwards which would suit the car nicely.
 
Thanks gentlemen. They're sounding better by the minute. Mark at BM can add a set of 452's for an additional £400, although for £550 through Camskill you can get for corners worth of Goodyear F1 Assymetrics.
 
tbh while i would say originals are better... Unless you have an M if you get original CSL the offset will look so crap that you'd wish you had reps that fit properly.
 
I would have no problem with buying replicas. The only issue with CSL replicas (particularly 18") is that despite having staggered widths, they don't have the same concave 'deep dish' rears which look so good on the originals.

Dont think you'd ever match the originals, but the ones at BMAutosport have an addition half inch on the rear so looks wise, may balance out on 18's.

Very nice DTWN ,and many thanks for the link, but for another 80 squid then you could have the V710's. Originally planning to get the V710's but in two minds now since I saw the reps at BMAutosport. If they're decent enough I can pair up with a nice set of Goodyear F1 Assymetrics for just under a grand saving me about £500.

Oh, and I wanted 18's too. 19's are fine of course, but I'd like a little more comfort plus IMO I think 18's look better suited to the body lines.
 
Just to add some context (and I never tire of seeing tsuiesque's gorgeous Zed :thumbsup: ), here's the look I'm going for. These are 18's too and I think they look stunning.

What sort of PSI/Bar do people run on non-RFT's; and do I have to sort anything with re: my tyre sensors, i.e. will they be affected by the change in boots?.
 
I'll post some pics when done. Gunmetal vs Anthracite = much of a muchness in the Pantone stakes so I think the wheels ordered should look good on my sterling grey.
 
Did you get the F1's from BM Autosport.. or Camskill separately?

I'd also be interested in how they look as I am in the market for some aftermarket wheel before the snow comes and rots my 108's again!

Camskill separately. Mark at BMA is a really nice guy and when we spoke earlier he said he'd have recommended going there too as they can beat any price he could get them for (with some sort of profit of course). Delivered to BMA either tomorrow or Wednesday latest, then they're going to fit, balance and deliver by the weekend. Wont have a chance to fit until the weekend after next but once I do I'll post some pics and you can consider for the cold months!
