Csl or 313 M alloys?

I do like them. Was hoping someone would put a picture up of them on and they look great.

Very similar to the M6 style wheels thought arent they? Which looking at other posts got a pretty bad reception on the z4.

Also people mentioning about the small brakes, would this be an issue on a 3.0? Or are the 2.5 brake discs smaller than 3.0 hence the posts about them looking small?

Cheers
Dan

ps. I don't think they look too modern at all, as mentioned above. And think they suit great. I actually prefer these to the CSLs i've seen. Although the CSLs are a close second favourite.

Im really close to pushing the button on some wheels soon. This forum is like a drug! For my bank balance anyway!

Only thing putting me off 19's over 18's is the tyre cost difference.

Do they do these 313's in 18 aswell Jonny?

Certainly don't want to put a downer on this, but just be careful and do some other online research on your intended purchase.. Just check out the supplier well on the 313's/whatever wheels you're looking at. BMW are the only people that sell 313 wheels (BMW Performance or M Sport versions), everyone else sells 313 'style' wheels with slightly different offsets and who knows what quality of alloy. Having said that, with the 296 style disgrace (cracks) perhaps BMW OEM wheels aren't any better... Perhaps do a search online for anyone else that's fitted 313 'style/Non OEM' wheels and see if they've had any issues with quality. I'd say the same for any alloys you're considering really, always see if anyone else has them on the net and see how well they've held up, could save you a headache later.

They do look fab on the e85 pic though... not to shabby on the e89 either... ;)

If i were you i would go with the csl's. For some reason i do not think newer model wheels work on previous model cars IMO.

Ordered the 313s 19" in gun metal with silver polished face.....take two weeks then have to save for premium tyres so in 6 weeks and their be on the Zed with plenty of pics! :D
Also getting drilled larger brake discs after that too to help the look

Larger disks? Will need to new calipers or carriers atleast!

No no no you don't Jonny you put bigger discs on you calipers wont fit any more!! you will need a bigger caliper carrier to offset the difference in discs size.

I am working on something but it wont be ready any time soon. Not sure if you can buy things of the shelf like that? What size discs have you got and what are buying???

Already have big red brakes just need drilled larger brake discs

Wish it was that easy!

The easiest upgrade for your fronts are to get some e46 330 front calipers (and disks) which come stock on the facelift 3.0 si Which will look noticeably bigger then your current brakes, and are a direct swap.

Sick indeed :headbang:

I wouldnt want reps, you cant guarantee the quality, but then with the newest BMW alloys with all the cracking who can guarantee them? But thats me. The 313s look amazing tho! Would def have them on a non M car.

CSLs reduce the problematic small calipers they dont look so bad behind more spokes.

So any 330 front caliper and rotor will mount to the Z4?

So these:

and these:

would get the job done?
