CSL offsets

Think I've found some genuine CSLs. They're 19" 8.5/e38 and 9.5/e27. Would they fit the Z4C. The sizes if found from searching can be different but if makes me wonder where they come from if this is the standard CSL size

Also - what's the default colour for CSL if I wanted to get them refurbed?

As brakes100, ET44 and ET27

Standard size is
Fronts ET44 8.5" wide
Rears ET27 9.5" wide
Thats what i have on my car too! Mine is a non M and fits beautifully!

Oh bugger. So these are reps then?

Looks like they have the bmw stamp?

They are genuine, I think he just has the description wrong. I was looking into them but after a refurb and fitting suitable tyres it would work out a little too much for me.

Ah ha. I've emailed him back already with the advice on here, just to double check.

Yeah not cheap! Refurb will be necessary as well

So if they are genuine they will fit without issue? Could I use Eibach springs to lower on the sport suspension as well? Don't want rubbing!

Do you have an Z4M?

If you have a non-m I think they may not fit, They might catch the outside edge of the wheelarch as the E46 M3 CSL & Z4M both have narrower axles than the non-M cars which means they run lower offset wheels.

I may be wrong but I think you would need about a 40 offset front and rear if that is the case.

Nope not M

Luke above looks like he's running that set up without issue on the standard offset for CSLs

True
I am on Lowering springs too at 35mm. With no lowering springs on I had no rubbing issues. With the car lowered so low i got the rear arches rolled and changed the front arch liner a little. The rears are good as gold and no rubbing issues, even this low. Every now and then I get slight rubbing on the front (because its so low and I have 15mm spacers on too)

Would using eibachs on my sport set up drop me as low as yours? I don't fancy have arches rolled etc

Yours looks mint. I like

i put my set on my mates non ///M, ive been told a million times this wouldn work BUT....... although clearly very agressive........ they do fit.... with very minor work.. and of course the real ones will always hold their value ;-) got to be one of the easiest parts to sell on in the z4 world.

Also if they protrude do they fail the MOT?

Lukes actually look good without the lowering in my opinion. They certainly fill the arches.

What's 'very minor work'??

Also what makes them aggressive? Distance to arch edge?

depends how low you go..... with my friends car at stock ride height..... all we did was heat up the plastic arch liners and re -shape certain sections.... They didn't protrude but were completely flush with the fender. on the ///M cars they can go quite a bit more agressive in terms of wheel fitment and widths.....

Oh ok. Doesn't sound too drastic but does make me wonder whether I want to be making those modifications. I'm not too familiar with work like that :(

Love the wheels though so a little torn. Reps seem easier with more suitable offsets but then they're not the real deal

Any thoughts on using front CSLs also on the rear of a non -M Z4? That way one would keep closer to the original offset (width would also be lower of course).
