Very nice buddy!!
I was v tempted but I've got a blue eventuri fitted
Cost of that piece of eye candy?

Love the Eventuri, looks and from what I've read, its a quality piece of work.

This eye candy.. Hmm.. all up around the same as an entry level SC. Call it 4 to 5k US depending on the currency exchange.. and which box\tune you go with. :tumbleweed:

From what I understand it is difficult / impossible to get the CSL map sensor working with our dme (different to the m3 and csl). Alpha-n is the only way forward but if you get a good map there are no issues with it. I believe in the past Evolve struggled with it and many customers were not happy, issues with heel & toe amongst others. With a good tune, alpha-n works extremely well, mine spent a long long time on the dyno to get it absolutely right.

Check if you have the HP dme hich was fitted to later cars and the csl.

It has more memory to allow more paramater tuning.

M3carbon1 and ccf1 on cutters can sort it out.

Im sure the z4m dme is different but you never know

No, totally different dme altogether sadly, it was one from from the E60 5 series IIRC.

Ok, so here we go, Hooking up the IAT probe to the MAF cable. Only 2 cables required, and in any order.

Pretty darn easy actually. The yellow one of the right is number 5, and the ones you need are 1 and 3. :tumbleweed:

all depends on how you want to do this, i went pretty much the whole hog and just cut the plug off.

Prepped for soldering. :driving:

some people on M3cutters who code and remap for csl intakes could probs help if you find that the csl IAT gives different readings to the bimmerworld one

So.... Sorry for the small thread hijack, but just picking up on what TomK says above - the Z4M has the E60 DME?? Does that mean that theoretically a V10 from the E60 should be easily integrated into the Z4M???

Just thinking out loud... :poke:

I'm by no means an expert on this, however my understanding is the DME used to control the S54 in our cars is from E60 generation cars, however note that is not the M version... The DME for those M5/M6 cars I think is different again.
As ever when ideas such as this float through my head I have a look at this thread
http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=55073
Albeit that refers to an M5 engine being plumbed into 3.0si.
The one that really really gets me thinking though is the S65 into our car......
whichever way it's sure to be a pita and probably better starting with a standard rather than m version
