CSL Alloys - possible to buy brand new?

I was wondering if it is possible to buy CSL BBS alloys brand new, I've searched but can't seem to find them anywhere. Am i missing a trick or are they no longer sold?

Look on flebay there are usually two sellers one from Germany and one uk bmw dealer advertising?
 
I bought a set direct from BMW a couple of years back, I used Taunton as Sytner Nottingham wouldn’t give and discount :thumbsup:

Yes it is still possible to buy the CSL alloys as new parts by BMW.

I just called this BMW reseller (Leebmann24.de) yesterday for knowing a lititle more.

The CSL 163 front alloys in 8,5" will be again available at the end of June.
The CSL 163 rear alloys in 9,5" should also still be available.

Don’t forget to sign up to their website and also mention your part of a BMW car club / forum. Gets you another discount on most stuff though maybe not these, worth a shot though!

Holy carp that's CHEAP!! I wonder how brutal shipping to the USA would be?

2 questions about the CSL wheels - 1) weight compared to 224's? 2) forged or cast?

CSL M163 alloys:
8,5"x19 ET44 : 10.4 kg
9,5"x19 ET27 : 11.35 kg

The CSL 163 alloys (8,5"x19 + 9,5"x19 with tyres (Michelin PSS) 235/35x19 + 265/30x19) are nearly 8.5 kgs lighter than original OEM 224 with 225/45x18 and 255/40x18 tyres.

They are cast alloys. Forged alloys are also generally more expensive.
 
They are cast and then flow formed, so a bit of a hybrid approach.

Still not particularly light but, as above, a good improvement on the 224s. I've had mine since new and one surprise has been just how good the factory finish is. The rears are nearly perfect still after 20k miles.

P.S. In the end I decided not to buy them: too many CSL (and CSL-style) wheels and too much money for just a cosmetic change. They do look nice though :thumbsup:
 
I purchased a set from my local BMW dealership last week over here in Ireland.
Mind you, I had a CSL that they previously looked after and had to use that chassis number to process the order with them.
