On trumpets it sounds quite similar to a Speed Six, for relatively obvious reasons I assume.

May be a silly question but is the motor in our cars canted over, or is it just the way the head looks? I know a "slant" six isn't unusual

Really does sound like the TVR 6 with the open trumpets.

I need dis! That noise though! :dizzy: I'd never want to 'tamper with' this car that much however, I'm no expert but that just looks like trouble, sounds like a dream but looks like an un-wise move.

Yes it is slanted/sloped/tilted - mainly due to how BMW wanted to 'package' the engine in the car. Tilting it lowers the centre of gravity.

I'm assuming you need the Alpha-N map with the open trumpets?
