Hi there just a quick question does anyone know if any other bmw cruise control stalks work with a z4 just as to buy a Z4 one its £129 on eBay jest wondered if anyone could recommend a cheaper alternative option for me to fit

Also on a side note my disa valve has a slight about on play on the pin and I mean slight movement but would you recommend changing the unit or upgrade it with the upgrade kits I see was curious what is best as the prices aren't that much different

Cheers

Before you anything you need to read this thread

My wiring is already in place so I think (Im probably wrong) that all I need is the stalk itself and I can fit it myself

I've used this site for parts in the past:
https://www.bmwautoparts.net/en

All genuine parts, just don't bother if you're in a hurry as they come from abroad. Cruise control stalk was showing as £82 for me.

Give C&N BMW breakers a call on 01254 230033/07879 189327 Tell Mizzy that Mike from the forum gave you the number - He does the stalk AND the factory pre-cut cowl for I think £80 delivered.

Don't waste your money buying a new one, as it WILL go the way of the old one, fit the i6 automotive upgrade, the one where BOTH the paddle and the bell crank are aluminium. 15 min job..

Thanks for the replies ill have a look on the website and I'll give the guy a call when I get back from holiday thanks for that and wow the difference that upgrade made I now know what I'm doing when I get back, did you get the kit from eBay or is it best to type in i6 automotive upgrade and shop around. Slowly but surely getting all the little issues resolved although the disa is more of a preventative step at the moment before it becomes a big problem.
Thanks again for the replies
