Cruise Retrofit on an M

It's the same part numbers as the other cars, as I bought them myself from the main Cruise thread (referenced in the FAQ) and took them to my Indi. Took him about 90mins, works beautifully!

Said it before, but I'll say it again.. Cruise on the /M + PogoAlert = :D :driving:

I will dig out my invoice tonight and post up the details. BMW dealership was Bavarian in Belfast so it might be worth getting your dealer to talk to their service department. It can be done, not too expensive and functions perfectly. Well worth it for longer cruises or just keeping within the lower speed limits.

I had organised to get a remap on the M the next day. Sadly the tuner discovered the ECU was different from the E46 M3 so didn't feel confident enough to tackle it. Another tuner confirmed they could remap it but I got cold feet.

Amusingly, my insurers (who told me the mod was free but charged me £20) want me to get an email from the tuner to say he never tuned my car before they refund the £20. Hardly worth the effort but I was amused they needed an email saying someone didn't do something to a car. :|

Part no on my invoice is B65.71.0.153.114

The kit included a replacement cowl and plug in cruise control switch. Probably worth making sure the kit contains any wiring loom needed. Cost of this was £130.
