Cruise retrofit: could someone clarify if my car is wired?

Easy enough to check, just remove the lower steering cowl and see if there is a plug waiting for the switch...

dont have the part no for the kit I bought to hand but that came with the wiring... Ill have a look tonight

I looked into this. On roadsters there will be a plug there which is just a simple plug and play. On coupes there isn't apparently??? You can still wire it on a coupe but it will be a harder job consisting of cutting wires

Thanks - and yes that sounds like the best option!

That's what's confusing me slightly - RealOEM.com lists the same kit for both E85 Roadster and E86 Coupe implying it's the same kit, but neither mention or picture the wiring harness. Helpfully my dealer wasn't able to tell me what was included in the kit.

I'm hoping the wiring is there and it's therefore an easier DIY job.

according to the retrofit instructions that my dealer printed off the cut off date was October 2004 - cars built after that date, roadsters included are not pre-wired. I was lucky having a March 2004 car the wiring was there.

The plug looks like this:

It's a coupe so wont have the wiring , but the retrofit kit will include all the looms/wire you need.
