Cruise Control - Who wants? Trying to get bulk buy discount

Got mine today. Desperate to fit tonight, but early morning meeting at work requires preparation, so will have to wait until the weekend :(

Mine arrived today :)

Save it for the weekend I think.

Do we have a definitive answer for fitting to N52 engines?

The instructions look fine, up until the last one - I can remember a few people saying the instructions from BMW were wrong? Anyone know?

Fitted mine just now. No dremel to cut the cowling, so was a mission with a mini hack saw, stanley knife, file, and some fine sandpaper. Same result, just took a while longer

Job done in 1hr....

I presume this you should notify this to the insurers. Have any of you experienced this yet and can you give an indication of any premium increase?

I havent really got the spare cash but hearing you all say about it it making me tempted again!

As this is an OEM part, which comes as an optional extra, I don't think insurers need to know. Could be wrong though

Quick question for anyone else who has installed this...... I have just done mine (easiest mod I hav ever done by the way!). Although it does work, I don't see any lights on the display when it is activated. I would have thought that there would be a cruise control symbol illuminated when you turn it on?

don't believe that there is a light as it disconnects as soon as you either touch the throttle or the brake.

Would love to have a go at this myself just do not feel confident to splice into the wiring

Mate it is really simple....if i can do it anybody can! You literally have to take one screw out, plug it in, and the hardest part is cutting the (pre-marked) hole for it. Easiest with a Dremel, but can also be done with a little hacksaw no problem. Give it a go......

I also wondered about this. In my 3 series there was a green light to indicate if cruise was on or off. Think it's on all the time in the zed....

Thanks Adam. Never mind - I still love it! Only wish it was installed a week ago - I just did 1000 miles through Europe! :driving:
