Cruise control for e86 Z4m 2007

You can still buy the stalk from BMW - it's just over £100 I think. You can see the outline of what you need to cut out on the inside of the lower cowl on the steering column.

But it isn't plug and play. You'll need a small section of wiring loom as well, but luckily "srhutch" on here can make that up for little cost.

Ah! Is it definitely not plug and play? How hard is it to fit?
 
It definitely isn't plug and play. Only very early Z4s (2003 and some 2004) are pre-wired for all the options.

Bear in mind I think the Ms are slightly different to other models but I'm pretty sure srhutch supplies instructions with his wiring.

Thanks very much for your help mate, suppose I’ll have to do a bit more research and get the ball rolling on this
 
TBH your best bet would probably be to send srhutch a PM as I'm sure he has retro-fitted cruise to an M.
 
If it’s similar to the standard e86, it’s a fairly easy wiring/routing job with minimal trim disassembly. Maybe an hour to do, with instructions.

Yeah I’ve spoken to him and paid him for a loom. Should be with me in a couple of weeks
 
stalks are £225 now but at least you know its from bmw and for the price of what? going out for tea on a friday with the missis
i was after one and had nothiong but marketplace idiots texting me at 2am
Mike from the Zshed got me one fitted it and boom no pi**ing about
