If it's genuine it must be a record for lowest mileage Vs age for a Z4M:

Who in their right mind would leave a car like that virtually unused for over 3 years? :o :(

It happens.

Still £27k is way OTT. a 30k example on that plate in private 'good' is only £21,790. No way is the low mileage worth a £5k plus premium.
I'd actually be more worried about a car sat for 3 years in a normal garage without regular proper car and attention.

Precisely. But I guess people will still be drawn to it.

+1
May sound stupid, but I think it'd be a far better proposition with and evenly spread 10k miles on the clock, never been overly keen on cars that aren't used enough. Although I'm sure someone will think it's a good buy just for the fact the miles are so low. As for that price premium  Still, someone may pay it!

I did more then that in the last weekend, 2400 miles to be precise :o

As much as I agree with the sentiments that a lower mileage car shouldn't demand such a premium, we are resigned to the fact that the great unwashed have been brainwashed into believing a cars value is directly related to mileage. You and I know that a car that has been used, looked after and serviced at appropriate intervals is a more favourable option compared to a low mileaged unused or underused car. £27k at a dealer would be acceptable inthink but a gamble at private sale. Also very amatuerish to state in needs a new battery- why not just replace it!?

Also, this thread title is curious!?!?

Give me a car that's been used every week and run up a respectable mileage with the same owner for a couple of years. Not a fan of ultra low mileage cars myself. Still, could be a bargain for soemone but the price is too high.

I know it is a fairly high price, but remember that there are higher prices at dealers as well at the moment.

A quick look at Sytner gave me 3 Coupes
2006 '06 21k for £21,850
2007 07 23k for £23,850
2007 57 26k £24,850

That quick poll shows me even newer cars with good spec and a full main agent backing are a fair bit less.

Buy this one drive it and in 2 years all you have is a 3 owner coupe which will have suffered several £k greater depreciation to equalise.
Not forgetting it will need new tyres, battery and a full service on collection since everything is stale.

Low mileage in a three year old car..... easy . In 2008, I found and then my Gf bought a 3 yr old 2005 325Ci with 1,400km on the odometer. That's 870 miles for the non metric among you. The mechanics at the dealership were all looking at the car when it was on the lift because the underside wasn't even dirty. It belonged to a doctor in Victoria, BC who had two other vehicles and only used it "on Sunday to go to Church, if it was nice out". He traded it on a new one. That's the absolute truth, the car now has 16k on it and it's 5 yrs old. I will be looking for his next trade in..... :D :D

Oh yeah, the 325Ci was a "Certified Used Car" at my local BMW dealer.
I think it's criminal to not drive these cars, especially an M (of any type) but I also appreciated buying my M3 with only 12K (km) on it at two yrs old.

I was thinking more of this one for £29k:

would the brakes all be seized on and could the cluth plate be seized?

i was once given an old banger of a capri, what a job it was to free the clutch

PVR - that's just plain expensive, but shows the price range.

Agreed - but shows the trend of half the mileage, increase the price significantly.

It's a rip off; plain and simple. Also, as everyone else has said, I wouldn't touch that with a barge pole. The mileage is way too low.

Yes sorry nothing sinister meant - as PVR says I just thought it was a crying shame to see this car going to waste and spending virtually all its life in a garage being neglected.

That Alpine White one at £29K was a member's car - he had it up for sale on PH at £25K and BMW bought it directly from him. I didn't realise BMW actively bought cars privately for stock, but seems they do.
