Creaky Roll Hoop Wind Deflectors

The small wind deflectors inside the roll hoops have started to rattle and squeak as I drive around pothole-laden London. Has anyone else faced this issue and are there any aftermarket alternatives (just for the hoops, the bit in the middle is fine)? Tempted to just remove them entirely but not sure how much that will effect the wind in the cockpit

Have found these but seems quite pricey https://diversionstores.co.uk/products/bmw-z4-e85-ur-windschott-clear-glass-wind-breaker-deflector?variant=48497670455581

Then again new OEM seems even more expensive!

get some felt into the gaps to stop the creak. Saying that most e85 squeaks come from the roof stow latch which is a bugger to get to - are you sure thats not it?

I think silicone spray fixed mine when they were having creaks.

Where did you apply it?

Along the slits where plastic meets plastic, letting it soak in and wiped off any excess. Elsewhere in the interior I have preferred felt tape between creaking & squeaking panels, but the roll hoop covers couldn’t be opened without risking breaking them.
