Creaky Rear Suspension

Does anyone have this problem? When going over speed bumps and such at low speeds the rear suspension lets out loud creaks. Sounds like metal on metal like maybe where the coil springs sit on the trailing arm? It also happens if I jack up the rear wheel and let it down.

If I get no reply I will probably start oiling parts until it stops but I was hoping I could avoid that.

I don't think it's the rear spring causing the noise since both the top and bottom rubber spring perches are pretty thick (about 6~7mm). Does it sound like the noise is coming from the bottom of the car?

I get the creaks too, although it stopped creaking the last time I jacked my car up. First time it happened, it freaked me out.

How many miles have you got on your car now?

It is common with aftermarket rear sway bars, and I am sure OEM is not immune, but a squeak like that is sometimes caused by not enough silicon grease in the bushings for the sway bar. May want to check that out the next time you have it jacked up.
