Creaky brakes or suspension?

First thing in the morning when I reverse off the drive and then stop to go forwards there a quite a creak from what I think are the brakes. I'm inclined to think that this is cold/sticking brakes, contributed to because it's an auto and therefore they are always having to hold the car back. Is this common, might I benefit from having the brakes stripped and reassembled? Or am I totally wrong and it's suspension? Everything is quiet after a few hundred yards.

Could be the handbrake? Mine sometimes makes that 'creak' if it's been sitting for a few days

Sounds like brake chatter, probably a combination of being cold and reversing. If that's the only condition it happens, I wouldn't do any thing unless it really bothers you. Eliminating strange brake noises can sometimes be challenging.
