Creaking Satnav screen....most annoying!

Hi guys,

Since i got the Z4 the satnav is creaking really really bad. Its defo coming from the upper part of the screen (where the plastic runs across the top)..

I don't want to douse the thing in WD40 as it will blemish the plastic finish on the screen VDU. This must be a common problem :|

Anyone had any luck in solving it? apart from smacking the thing while driving!

Similar thing here - seems to happen much more when the screen is up, closing it normally sorts it.

Be great if there was a remedy.

Not seen that problem mentioned before. My screen was faulty, wouldn't open or close sometimes and I had to push it to open it. BMW eventually swapped it under warranty and the new ones been fine.
