Creaking roof

My G29 has developed an annoying creaking sound from the roof which, sometimes, disappears if I lower and raise the roof. Annoyingly it's in the section of the roof which is right behind my head.

Has anyone else experienced this and is there anything I can check or do?
 
No. It comes and goes so I've tried to identify a pattern but no joy.

Pressing the squeaky area whilst driving stops the noise so it appears to be an issue with the fabric rather than the mechanism.
 
New one on me. Haven’t experienced this myself.
Perhaps the dealer could grease or lubricate something, if it’s creaking then I’d get it booked in and get them to look at it.
As I’ve said previously. It’s supposedly a premium product, you shouldn’t have to put up with that.
 
ive noticed mine is creaking too, not sure at the minute if its only when its been frozen / really cold.
 
I left mine in today at dealers. Hard knocking noise at front roof area. If you do about 20 miles seems to get a bit better but bloody annoying. For a car this price I believe leaving it in with dealer is best option.
 
I've noticed that mine creaks from the front only if there is a heavyish passenger. On my own it is totally silent. The noise is from the very front of the roof at the screen.

Does it by chance sound like a small metal on metal clattering, on occasional uneven roads or bumps, but not all?

Mine did this, had a part replaced at a dealer a year ago or so. It’s started to do it again so went to my local dealer and they said it was some panel that the bonding had loosened on and they rebounded it but told me “you might get some noises on soft tops, that’s what they do” which just pissed me off. The noise came back a week later, still doing it, tedious. Plan to book into the first dealership or at least ring them to discuss
