Creaking noise behind passenger seat

I have this loud creaking noise emanating from behind the passenger seat (RHD) only when I go over a large bump or do an aggressive right turn.

I had all the suspension springs/shocks/bushings refreshed and this made no difference.

It sounds like something moving around - like a loose item in the boot, except there is nothing in the boot.

It also sounds like it it high up. It makes no diff whether the roof is up or down.

I am wondering if it could be the roof motor moving around. Its on the left hand side just behind the passenger right?

Those who have relocated the roof motor know that the bloody thing doesn”t want to move.:D Joking aside, the way that the roof motor, enclosed in a plastic casing, is fixed to the roof does not allow movement. But if the motor has had previous work done to it, it’s possible (although improbable) that either the casing isn’t properly fixed or the the motor is moving within the casing if insulation has been left out. With the roof up, passenger seat forward you can actually reach the top of the casing and feel if it’s movable. And while you’re there, try to feel for any loose plastic clips on the tray behind the motor - clips from the storage shelf occasionally unfasten and rattle around in that area.
