creaking from the rear

 i'm from the bay (california)
i was wondering if this was normal.. but...

my driveway is slightly inclined, so when i go to park (sometimes i go in reverse with the frontend facing the street), i tend to hear slight creaking noises coming from the back of the car. it sounds like the type of creaking a small wooden boat would make. or if you were walking on a pier or something like similar.

is it time to change the suspension??

My car does this - its going into BMW to get checked. It also makes a creaking noise when turning left at low speed sometimes.

When you park, it's just the e-brake settling. If you engage the e-brake to just bring you to a stop when you park it, it won't "creak". Nothing wrong. Lots of threads on it.

im sorry. i should have been more clearer...

i hear this creaking noise when im in motion and im going up my driveway.

Ah, sorry. May be nothing, but perhaps better to have it checked.

i felt like fixing the suspension anyways... i think it's time to check out some dinan equipment!

many causes, mine was a dried up rear stabilizer bushing.

re-lubing it will temporarily fix it, however it will dry up again and noise will start appearing eventually.

had to replace mine
