Creaking from over right shoulder

Only with the roof down
Thought it was the windows but creaking persists whether windows up or down
Sounds like it's coming from behind where the seat belt stores

Any suggestions as to what to check first?

Back of seat touching bulkhead below hoops?

I don't think it's caused by the seat touching - I tried moving it forwards but then it wasn't a comfortable driving position anyway and the noise didn't go away
 
when i had this problem i spent ages chasing possible roof issues to no avail .. turned out it was a broken rear spring causing the noise so have a check of those before going into all the potential roof issues as its quick and free

My local indy did a full inspection after I got the car - would expect them to spot a broken spring but suppose it could have happened more recently - was a regular occurrence on my E85
 
I though this was going to be a thread about the effects of becoming an old fart. :P :wink:
