I searched and did not see more than two hits on this item. My 2004 2.5 with 109,000 miles is throwing code P0335 for the third time in the last 18 months. The time before this, it was covered under the shop's warranty and replaced as a defective item when it failed within 30 days of replacement. The code reader suggests these things: crank sensor defective; check connector and wiring to sensor; check trigger wheel for damage.
So, anyone have additional suggestions or thoughts? From my search, it does not seem this is a super common problem. My concern is that replacing the sensor probably isn't really fixing it and I hate shelling out money while the shop (or I) learn. Thanks in advance for your time!
