Crackling Radio

The FM aerial is indeed across the inside of the rear bumper.
I'd check it's connected and not broken, however in the event of a poor signal the aerial on the wing takes over, so I suspect more likely something other than the aerial

I have bed crackling in rear speakers, had it in for service, "nothing wrong with the BMW parts!" so i sent it back to the guys who did the phone kit (THB Bury) he came down took out the head unit, disconnected everything apart from the factory parts... still crackling and actually go off altogether intermittently. so rang BMW back and going in again... beginning to be annoying!

my radio has been crackling for a while, been into BMW 3 times now and they still cant fix. speakers are fine as CDs and AUX is fine, just radio. All they have done is replace the amp... but still happening. Radio is clear when idol or moving slowly but as soon as you pick up speed it crackles...

possibly a good old-fashioned bad earth or slight short somewhere. Probably ignition circuit if its speed-related. Anything from dicky spark plug or leads, to coil packs on the blink?
A GOOD autoelectrician ought to be able to track it down....
