Cracked Wheels?,

Glad to say so far so good but my son has experience of three of his wheels on his fiesta zetec have cracked.
I'm wondering if this is a problem for other road users no matter what they drive ?
Any thoughts?.
 
Never had a cracked wheel in my life - on any make of car.

Maybe it's driver behaviour that's causing it - e.g. bumping up & down kerbs, not avoiding potholes, etc?
 
Actually he's an excellent driver and is a manager of the service dept in a large Vauxhall dealership in Kings Lynn which is an unusual part of the country as it doesn't boast potholes.!!
 
Ive seen a few wheels with the odd crack but these take some beating .
A presentable looking set advertised as "rears have cracks" :oops: i gave up counting after 10 :D

Never managed to crack an alloy yet. Managed to deform one to be almost square though after a very inconsiderate driver forced me to the side of the road hitting a pothole a few years ago now! :x
 
Cracked alloys seems to be more common with the roads being full of potholes after every winter
