I wonder what the impact loads are say
1. A big pothole at 30mph and
2. A small pothole at 70mph
Either way the wheel should cope with a pothole, even the autobahn is not billiard table smooth! and our cars could be doing a claimed 155 !
Just had a thought, its only the inner rims that seem to suffer. Nobody has ever mentioned an outer rim cracking (yet) - Maybe they should make the inner rim just like they make the outer rim which don' t seem to suffer this problem - does that not point to a design flaw. The wheels are uniform - pot holes are not!
I would say they are trying to take the urine somewhat!
PS Yes I'm getting concerned before I take delivery on Tuesday
